Hi, I’m Becca

I am a Southern California native and but San Francisco is home. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors in Sociology and a Certificate in Holistic Health Studies. I received my Coaching certification from MindBodyGreen. I have always been fascinated by the interplay between humans and the world outside of us that we call society. This and my passion for Holistic perspectives on health and alternative methods of healing has really shaped my worldview and ultimately led me to health coaching.

My career path has been forged by the foundational belief that health is not the absence of disease but rather the sum of all areas of our lives and how they interconnect. I believe that the health of our society has a profound influence on our individual wellbeing and we are collectively feeling the weight of a world in poor health. This is why I feel called to this profession more now than ever, as we as we experience higher rates of chronic disease, more chronic stress and burnout, more technology-fueled social isolation, and rising world conflict. It can feel overwhelming just thinking about all the issues society is grappling with in this moment which can in turn make us feel like we are alone… or hopeless. I wholeheartedly believe that even with the world’s seemingly endless problems, we can shift the world by shifting our own lives… pursuing our own growth, self-discovery, and the things we most desire in life. We can feel less alone by being offered the space to feel supported and honored for what makes each of us unique and feel confident to pursue whatever changes we desire for ourselves. As more of us strive to be better humans, we slowly shape others around us and the world follows suit.

My Approach

With a background in Sociology, I bring a unique perspective to table by searching outside of the person to understand their individual circumstances that impact their beliefs, perspectives, and health from many angles. I seek to gain awareness of how you view the world and use that to inform our work together.

I put an emphasis on finding meaning and helping clients access parts of themselves that might not surface very often. The trust that it takes to unearth these parts takes patience and it can require us to get out of our comfort zones. But the result is powerful and ultimately allows clients to make truly meaningful change.

I came to Becca with an interest in a more holistic approach to health and well-being, and to find ways to tackle issues like anxiety and panic. Our sessions truly were a ‘choose your own adventure’ – I could choose to work on any aspect of life from psychological to physical to spiritual. Yet they were not unstructured. Becca guided me along to discover the issues that were most important to me and then to begin to think through ways of addressing them. It was all highly practical yet gave space for processing what I was thinking and feeling regarding topics as they came up. I really liked that about our sessions – that each time we talked about my health and myself holistically, rather than in a siloed way, but by the end we landed on a concrete, actionable bit of homework to keep progress flowing.

Through Becca’s guidance and support, I was led to insights that helped reframe the anxiety and panic I struggle with. I discovered the ways I make my anxiety worse by avoiding or denying it, and that the only way to healthily deal with it is through, not around. In this way I changed my relationship to anxiety and came to understand that going through meant personal transformation. To aid this journey, Becca helped me identify resources and recommended tools I could use in my day-to-day life to more effectively handle anxiety and panic.

I can’t recommend Becca enough for anyone wishing to improve their well-being through a welcoming, holistic, practical approach!
